About
I live with my fiance (along with our dog and cat) in a unique high desert climate at 7,500 feet above sea level, where the average precipitation level is 11 inches per year and water is truly the essence of life. This blog focuses on a project about the wetlands near our home in Sunshine Valley, New Mexico, at the base of the Sangre de Cristo Mountains. I will be monitoring and documenting these wetlands through the cycle of the seasons for one-year. Over the course of this year I will post a variety of observations and multimedia outcomes from the project to this blog. Because the wetlands is a 1 mile walk from my house, this project is also an investigation and study of walking. I hope that you will join me for this one-year journey of exploration and observation of wetlands in the high desert.
